Official patrons of PolArt Adelaide 2025 announced

PolArt Adelaide 2025 is proud to announce the Premier of South Australia, Peter Malinauskas, and the Polish Consul General in Sydney, Piotr Rakowski, as the festival’s official patrons. Their support highlights the cultural significance of PolArt and the rich contributions of the Polish community to Australia and New Zealand.

In accepting the honour, Premier Malinauskas expresses his pride in supporting this historic event, emphasising South Australia’s strong Polish heritage, which spans nearly 170 years. He welcomes the festival to Adelaide, recognising it as a key part of the state's vibrant arts and cultural landscape.

“South Australia is known as the Festival State, and we are renowned for staging outstanding arts and cultural festivals. With open arms, we welcome the PolArt festival and the hundreds of visual and performing artists who will descend upon our city to share Polish dance, folklore, theatre, literature, and visual arts.”

Consul General Piotr Rakowski, newly appointed to Australia, acknowledges PolArt as the most iconic celebration of Polish art, tradition, and culture in the region. He looks forward to witnessing the festival’s spectacular performances and rich artistic showcases.

“I am truly honoured to serve as an honorary patron of this joyful and diverse event, and I eagerly look forward to the celebrations later this year. I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this year’s festival to life.”
